Outpost Vans LLC — Shipping & Refund Policy
Shipping
General Shipping Terms
All items ship as they become available or in stock.
If you require special shipping arrangements, please note them when placing your order. Additional charges may apply for special requests.
Shipping charges shown at checkout apply to the contiguous 48 U.S. states. Deliveries to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and other non-contiguous locations will incur additional charges.
Shipping charges are good faith estimates. If actual costs are higher due to weight, size, or delivery location, customers will be contacted prior to fulfillment. Customers are responsible for any additional charges, or the order may be canceled.
Delivery Responsibility
Once a package is marked “Delivered” by the carrier, Outpost Vans is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
Customers must work directly with the carrier to resolve delivery disputes. Outpost Vans will provide reasonable assistance but is not liable for replacement costs.
Damaged Shipments
Any shipping damage must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery.
Customers must retain all packaging materials for carrier inspection. Failure to do so may void the claim.
Refused Deliveries
If a shipment is refused for any reason other than documented damage, return shipping charges, restocking fees, and any carrier storage fees will be deducted from any refund.
Third-Party, Drop-Shipped & Shopify Collective Items
Some products sold on our website are fulfilled directly by our supplier or brand partners rather than shipped from Outpost Vans — including items sold through Shopify Collective and any product identified on its product page or at checkout as “Ships from Partner,” “Drop-Shipped,” or “Special Order.”
For these items, the supplier’s or manufacturer’s own shipping, return, refund, and exchange terms apply and control over the Returns & Exchanges, Refunds & Restocking, and Exchanges sections below — including their return windows, restocking fees, return-shipping responsibility, and any “final sale,” “clearance,” or “special order” designations.
Because these items ship directly from the supplier:
- All returns, exchanges, and claims must be initiated through Outpost Vans (info@outpostvans.com) to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Do not ship partner items back or contact the supplier directly; unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
- Return windows begin on the date of delivery and may be shorter than our standard window depending on the supplier. Report any shortage, damage, or defect within 7 calendar days of delivery and retain all original packaging.
- Refunds for partner items are issued after the supplier receives and inspects the return and are subject to the supplier’s restocking fees and return-shipping terms, which we pass through to you. We process your refund promptly once the supplier’s credit is confirmed.
- Availability, lead times, and shipping estimates for partner items are set by the supplier and may differ from in-stock Outpost Vans products.
Defective or damaged partner items: If a partner item arrives damaged or is defective, we will work with the supplier to arrange a replacement, repair, or refund. Nothing in this section limits your rights under California law, including your right to a remedy for defective products (see California Consumer Rights below).
Returns & Exchanges
We want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. Outpost Vans accepts returns under the following conditions. These conditions apply to items shipped by Outpost Vans; partner, drop-shipped, and Shopify Collective items follow the supplier’s terms as described in the section above.
Return Window: Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery. This window does not apply to partner/drop-shipped items, which follow the supplier’s return window (see Third-Party, Drop-Shipped & Shopify Collective Items above).
Condition of Product: Returned items must be in new, unused condition and include all original packaging. Products that have been installed, used, drilled, modified, or damaged are not eligible for return.
Custom & Special Orders: Custom-fabricated items, made-to-order products, and products with custom colors or modifications are non-refundable and cannot be canceled once production begins.
Closeout & Open-Box Sales: All sales of clearance, closeout, or “open box” products are final with no returns accepted.
Non-Returnable Consumables: Consumables such as adhesives, fluids, electrical wiring, and hardware kits are not eligible for return once opened.
Return Authorization: Customers must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from Outpost Vans prior to shipping items back. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Refunds & Restocking
If a return is approved for reasons other than a defect, the customer is responsible for return shipping, packaging, and insurance.
Customers are responsible for insuring return shipments. Outpost Vans is not liable for lost or damaged return shipments.
Refunds are processed after inspection of the returned item and may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%.
Orders canceled that exceed $500 are subject to a 5% non-refundable cancellation fee to cover credit card processing costs.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned product. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Items returned in less than new condition, or missing components/packaging, may qualify only for partial refunds at Outpost Vans’ discretion.
For partner, drop-shipped, and Shopify Collective items, the supplier’s restocking fees and return-shipping terms apply instead of the terms in this section (see Third-Party, Drop-Shipped & Shopify Collective Items above).
Exchanges
Exchanges may be approved on a case-by-case basis for eligible products.
Customers are responsible for return shipping and any price difference on exchanged items.
Manufacturer Defects & Errors
If Outpost Vans determines that a product is defective due to manufacturing, we will cover the cost of return shipping and provide a replacement, repair, or refund at our discretion. For partner, drop-shipped, and Shopify Collective items, we will pursue the defect remedy with the supplier on your behalf (see Third-Party, Drop-Shipped & Shopify Collective Items above). In all cases, your rights under California law apply.
Digital Products
Digital products and downloadable content (such as CAD files, design plans, or digital resources) are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.
Gift Cards & Store Credit
Gift cards and store credit are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by California law.
Customer Responsibilities
Fitment: Customers are responsible for ensuring product compatibility with their vehicle make, model, and year prior to purchase. Outpost Vans is not liable for costs associated with incorrect orders, shipping, or installation.
Installation: Outpost Vans strongly recommends installation by a qualified professional. Improper installation may result in product failure, vehicle damage, or safety hazards. Customers who self-install assume all associated risks.
Maintenance: Aftermarket equipment requires proper inspection and maintenance. Worn components can compromise vehicle safety. Maintenance is solely the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
Legal Compliance: Vehicle modifications may be regulated under state law (such as lift heights, lighting, or emissions). It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
California Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under California law, including the right to return defective products. These protections exist in addition to the terms described above.
Force Majeure
Refunds for delayed or canceled orders caused by events beyond Outpost Vans’ control (including supply chain disruptions, strikes, or natural disasters) will be handled at our discretion.
Fraud & Abuse Prevention
Outpost Vans reserves the right to deny returns, exchanges, or refunds to customers who demonstrate excessive or abusive return practices.
